A Life Devoted to Revealing Jesus: My Birthday Gift to God
Today is my 25th birthday, and it is my great pleasure to offer my heart to God as His birthday gift.
There comes a moment in every person's life when they must intentionally choose their way of life and the kingdom they wish to represent.
In truth, there are numerous paths to a successful life, including science, philosophy, astrology, and traditional worship.
I have reached that pivotal point in my life, where I have diligently considered all available options and have made a conscious decision to live for God and reveal Jesus to the Nations.
It is often easier to embrace Jesus when life offers little meaning, but as one begins to experience success, the temptation to conceal Him may grow. Intellectualism and the desire to please others may lead us to question our faith and beliefs about God and His Kingdom.
As I navigate each day and encounter the wisdom of this world, I acknowledge their influence but remain steadfast in my convictions about Jesus. He was with me during my loneliest days when life felt meaningless. Now, as I learn and build a life filled with purpose and impact, it is my greatest honor to reveal Jesus and remain loyal to Him until the day I see Him in Glory.
At the start of September, the words of Proverbs 23:26 resonated within me, as I heard God saying:
"My son, give me your heart, and let your eyes delight in my ways."
As the days passed, it became clear that all God desired from me as a birthday gift was "My Heart."
Offering your heart to God is the next phase after you've received the life of Christ. God only seeks your heart when you willingly submit to transformation by the Holy Spirit, allowing God to mold you into a vessel for His service. However, surrendering your heart to God isn't a hasty decision; it requires careful consideration.
Entrusting my heart to God does not signify my intention to become a pastor. My calling lies in the world of entrepreneurship, where I strive to reveal Jesus in the business realm. It's my commitment to live for Jesus with all I am and will ever be.
One must understand that yielding their heart to God does not lead to mediocrity or a relegated existence. God promises eternal life in heaven and abundant life on earth.
The Jesus I have chosen to give my heart to is the one who forgives sins, heals the sick, delivers the oppressed, and lifts and prospers ordinary men (Psalm 103:1-5).
Undoubtedly, this journey will present challenges. I may make mistakes, but I rely on God's mercy and embrace His grace and the guidance of the Holy Spirit to remain true to my lifelong commitment to revealing Jesus to the Nation.
Today is my 25th birthday, and it is my great pleasure to offer my heart to God as His birthday gift.
In response, Jesus has promised to fulfill Genesis 17:6 in my life, declaring,
"And I will make Christian Nwobodo exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee.”
Dear friend, as you continue your journey with God, there will come a day when Jesus asks for your heart. I encourage you to say YES because it is the key to a fulfilled and peaceful life on earth and in His glory.
With Love,
Christian Nwobodo
